2011 Raptor Ridge Pinot Noir

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This is the standard wine from these Newberg Oregon producers who also producer higher quality and vineyard level wines.  The color of the wine is a deep garnet that is translucent and sets well in the glass.  he nose is loam, raspberry fruit with slight esters and spice.  The palate shows an immediate acidic structure with a semi sweet fruit, light body, with a nice overall feel in the mouth.  This is quite young but should be drunk that way, it's as enjoyable as it will ever be.

2009 Rosellas Cabernet Sauvignon

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This Applegate Valley Cabernet has big shoes to fill.  The prior vintages of this wine are some of the wine geeks favorite Southern Oregon Cabernets.  The wine is dark ruby with a nose of dark fruit, forest floor, charcoal and vanilla.  On the palate this Cabernet is full bodied, fruit forward with a tocuh of chocolate leading into a smooth middle and quite firm tannic finish.   This is a delightful big red wine now and will be even better if you can wait for it.

2007 Francis Tannahill Grenache

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This Grenache has inky dark red plum color with a dark fruit, nutmeg, and spice nose.  The wine is not overly fined or filtered they let this wine speak for itself.  The palate shows a beautiful full, fruity wood start with a nice compliment of spice middle and soft lingering tannin.  There is a soft creamy, medium mouth feel, that keeps you coming back until it leaves you asking," Why is the wine gone?"  This is an easy drinking wine and will be appreciated by aficionados and newcomers alike.

2010 Foris fly-over white

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This wine blend is mostly Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris with a straw color and a nose of  melons and citrus.  We served it quite chilled which produced a light refreshing wine with melons, acids, and minerality on the palate.  A nice summer sip you should try.

2009 Folin Cellars Tempranillo

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This Tempranillo from the Rogue Valley is a deep and dark red.  The nose shows a big dark fruit, plums, olives and smoke with a touch of vanilla for the oak.  The fruit is delicious sweet and full bodied when held on the palate.  The wine moves into a nice middle and supple tannic finish that is lingering and enjoyable.  This four year old could do well with another year in the bottle but is very drinkable now.

2008 Pebblestone Cellars Mélange

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This is one of my favorite red Bordeaux blends from the Southern Oregon.  The folks at Pebblestone change the blend each year.  They produce a wonderfully full bodied balanced offering.  The 2008 is a dark ruby red with a nose of black fruit, floral notes, old wood and a touch of tar.  The palate shows a well-defined fruit dry and delicious with a complex middle and layered tannic finish that is lasting.  This is one of the best Mélange ever.  If you like French Bordeaux you’ll love this wine.
