Friday, April 13, 20122004 Edgefield Fireside Syrah Sweet Dessert Wine
This is the final bottle of port style dessert wine from Edgefield in Troutdale Oregon. The grapes I believe are sourced from the Columbia Valley in Washington. It’s a very dark wine deep ruby with slightly brown edges. The nose is plum and black cherry a distinct aroma of vanilla and leather on the end. The mouth feel is full and thick. The palate show a sweet dense fruit with and underlying acid layer that cause and long and lasting finish. A really delightful port style dessert wine.
