2006 Argyle pinot noir

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Bright color, a translucent lighter color and body than the cowhouse or reserve from 2005. The nose is blackberry, cherry. The taste runs to a dry fruit but with enough complexity to have real potential with a very light finish. This may need to age in the bottle another year. It did finish well and was light bodied with a lot of future. The cuvee, reserve, Spirithouse and Nuthouse for this year may be very good

Vineyards Pinot Noir Estate

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

A garnet color with a light nose, currant. Taste light with a tart long finish. A fine pinot with a light body but with a complex taste and finish.

Its been a year since the last tating of this fine Oregon Pinot.  This is my last bottle, the pour is very light, you might take this to be a 10 to 15 year old pinot.  The nose has opened up a little more with blackberry, load and herbal aroma.  The taste is sweet black fruit, and cherry, the structure is nice with a clean almost tannin free finish.

2005 Argyle Reserve Pinot Noir

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

I have to say this is an exceptional Pinot Noir not quite as good as the torii mor or cowhouse for me but very very good. I ordered several bottles of Argyle 2006 Pinot Noir. We will see as if they are as good or better than the reserve.
Tasting Notes:
A nose of light blackberry, fruity and sugar. The color is a dark crimson edging to violet. The taste is crisp fruity meduim body, dry with a lasting finish. Very good with chicken and chocolate.

2006 Roxy Ann Pinot Gris

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Light straw colored. The nose is fruity, melon and grapefruitslightly citric to lemon. On first taste it is a dry slightly fruity wine with a nice long finish. Second taste shows more complexity and layers, fruit up front, into a firm middle to long finish. This light bodied wine has legs.

2006 Eyrie Vinyards Pinot Gris

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

The wine is golden to the color as honey.  The nose fresh with a hint a fruit but subdued.  I also pick up honey comb, flowers in the nose.  First taste it has crisp fruit flavor, pinot grape comes through clearly, also grapefruit and apple.  The finish while sharp, sweet and lasting, mellows but lasts for minutes.

2002 Griffin Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

A dark ruby and purple color, the nose is acidic with a herbal trace, slight blackberry and cherry.  The body is fine with a light character, a tart acidic fruit with mild tannins and long finish.  This is a fairly simple wine, it lacks the complexity of a finer cabernet but it quite drinkable and well recieved.  One pair very nicely with Lamb or Beef on the rare side.

2006 Argyle Willamette Valley Riesling

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Color is light gold, appears light and fine.  The nose is complex citric lemon, grapeffruit and melon.  Taste is sweet and fruit filled up front then suddenly into a dry long acidic finish.  A French type Reisling rather than German.  The body is light and refreshing, Paula enjoyed this wine.
