2005 Stonier Chardonnay, Victoria Australia

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

A mature Chardonnay, a light straw color.  The nose is melon, sweet citrus orange.  The taste is sweet fruit and mineral water up front into a clean acidic  nutty finsih.  Quite good, it was a 93 for me and Iíll enjoy the other bottles in the cellar

2005 Quinta Vale Do Meao Meandro Douro

Apperence is of a rich nicely aged red wine with a dark burgandy color. The nose is fruity with a touch of dryness and oak. The taste is rich and silky, it rolls off the tongue The fruit of the wine is up front with dry tight long finish. The finish is such that even though you know its coming it suprises you.

2001 Boroli Borolo

The color of the wine is remarkable, scarlett with an orange tinge near the edges, it speaks to a well aged light red wine.  The nose floral like perfume, dried flowers and acid.  The taste shows a dry up front fruit, long acidic with tannin finish.  The complexity of the wine is stellar, with a lot of subtle tastes and aromas.  The acidity compliments the rich nothern marinara sauce for the pasta, adding to the sweet Italian sausage meatballs.

1999 Barale Barolo Riserva Bussia

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Very dark ruby to crimson color, just the color says full body. The nose is light, though you expect a heavy nose from the color. Taste is refined, smooth. Not a touch of acid until the finish. Very dry and tart. Finish will stay with you. Cuts the soup like a knife, clears the palate and the tongue.

2005 Trevor Jones Chardonnay

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Straw colored, fruity nose apples, touch of citric smell, lime/lemon. Fruity but not to sweet, very light body with a mild but lasting finish. Not a lot of layers of complexity here but a very straight forward chardonnay. Second taste on the next day, referigerated overnight. So a colder look at the same wine. Crisper because it is 36 degrees. Brings out a little dryer finish but stll very fruity and simple in terms of flavor. This wine says ďHello Iím a chardonnayĒ, nothing to denote if Iím Australian, Napa, French, etc. Needs more distinction. That said a fine drink for the price $15.00 and will be a hit at parties and your pcoket book.

2004 Marchesi de'Frescobaldi Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

Good  solid Chianti nose you can smell the sangiovese grapes, begs to be sipped.  Tart with crisp long finish.  Tasting black cherrys, clenses the palate wonderful with food. Pasta, and meat.

Second Tasting Review:
The wine is a dark burgandy color, you canít see through it.  The nose is lighter than the color, crisp and light with cherry and flowers.  The taste and body run to full, Tart and acidic up front with a fruity and tannin filled long finish which is perhaps a touch too tart.  Very refreshing best with rich foods and heavy sauces.  I think this will be better about 2010
