2005 Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) Reserve Speciale Bordeaux

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

The nose is slightly medicinal, earthy, with a floral perfume and ester.  The taste is tart with fruit up front, fairly simple but firm middle with a tannin filled finish.  This needs more time in the bottle to be smooth ou the finish then will be a fine drink for several years to come.

2003 E. Guigal Chateauneuf du Pape

> Lookup on Cellar Tracker

This wines color has lovely light scarlett with a copper color at the edge. The nose is cherry and fruit, a slight loam. The taste is fruit crispness that goes quickly to a long finish. The wine improves with aeration, the syrah grapes a prevelant and tasty within the grenache. Though you would think it should have a heavy body, it is meduim to light and very flavorful.
